Florida weather in January is the coldest of the year, but it's still very warm with mild temperatures throughout the month. Water temperatures of the West Coast (Gulf of Mexico) and the East Coast (Atlantic Ocean) is just perfect for surfing (It is around 50-60 deg C).

Florida in January is less crowded and probably it’s the best time to visit the Theme Parks as there are not too many families around. Hence you can enjoy the attractions, shows, bars and restaurants without big crowds. However because of this lean season, expect shorter park hours throughout January, with all parks being closed by 9 pm on many nights.
